Join the Odyssey Mentoring Program on Thursday, August 6 from 7:00-8:00pm ET to hear from Ben Cosgrvoe CC’90. Ben is an independent producer who most recently produced Black Christmas (Sophia Takal). Previously, he was President of 2929 Productions, Mark Cuban and Todd Wagner’s film finance company, where he produced Serena (Susanne Bier), Deadfall (Stefan Ruzowitzky), Please Stand By (Ben Lewin) and Permanent (Colette Burson). Prior to 2929, Cosgrove was Senior Vice President of Production at Paramount Pictures. Among the projects he developed and/or supervised at Paramount were Dreamgirls (Bill Condon), The Fighter (David O. Russell) and Interstellar (Chris Nolan). Before Paramount, Ben was President of George Clooney and Steven Soderbergh’s production company Section Eight, where he produced The Good German (Steven Soderbergh) and Rumor Has It (Rob Reiner), and executive produced Good Night, and Good Luck (George Clooney), Syriana (Stephen Gaghan), A Scanner Darkly (Richard Linklater), Insomnia (Chris Nolan) and Welcome to Collinwood (Joe and Anthony Russo).

Ben graduated from Columbia College in 1990 with a B.A. in English Literature and is currently the co-chair of the Odyssey Mentoring Committee. Join us on Thursday, August 6 at 7:00pm ET to learn more about Ben’s career.
